Georgetown is also home the Georgetown College Tigers, a 4-year Christian, liberal arts school. The school is also influenced by the Baptist tradition and strives to provide quality academics to students and encourages students to live, learn and believe. Georgetown excels in many areas, from academics to athletics. This close-knit college town community strives to ensure Georgetown is in the spotlight and the city rallies around the many sporting events the school competes in. The school is consistently ranked as one of the top liberal arts schools in the area. In 2021, Georgetown KY is considered the fastest growing city in Kentucky.
