Take a Day Trip to Keeneland Race Track in Lexington, KY

Keeneland Race Track in Lexington, Kentucky is special. And unique. And super pretty. And a whole lot of fun! Just a few days left in this current fall meet as races are happening daily until October 30th. New this year and due to Covid, you must purchase tickets in advance in order to enter the famous gates at Keeneland. You can still tailgate on The Hill with a picnic lunch and enjoy the activities outside the gates for free and no tickets are required.

Keeneland which opened here in Lexington, Kentucky in 1936 still holds all the charm of yesteryear and is considered the prettiest horse racing track in the United States. There is a reason why Hollywood always comes into Lexington to film the great horse movies like Seabiscuit and Secretariat. We just have that cool vibe that no other track can offer. That vibe includes the huge old trees, all the lush green landscaping, the picturesque views, the best horses, the best people, the best food, the best southern hospitality and so much more. Once you visit Keeneland, you will be spoiled by this wonderful magical horse racing environment. I know when I have a few hours off from my real estate life, I love visiting Keeneland with friends and family!  And even when the current meet is over, be sure and visit the Track Kitchen for the best breakfast in Lexington.
