Spotlight Lexington & KimSoper.com's Top Picks for Tuesday, September 28

Spotlight Lexington & the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games are in full effect. Here are KimSoper.com's Top picks for places to go, be seen and experience on Tuesday, September 28, 2010.

6:00 p.m. - "Born & Bred: A Night of Poetry with the Affrilachian Poets and the Holler Poets Series." The series features Bianca Spriggs and Eric Sutherland, two of Kentucky's most famous on the literary scene. Not to mention, I went to school with Bianca at Transylvania University and I know first hand how she can light up the stage. Don't miss em' at the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning at 251 West Second Street in Lexington.

7:30 p.m. - Alltech Fortnight Festival presents the famous Chubby Checker. Who doesn't know this man? When I mentioned this concert to my mom, she was so excited! In the summer of 1959, Checker scored a number one hit with "The Twist." See this legendary star at downtown Lexington's famous Kentucky Theater or for more info, visit the Alltech Fortnight Festival site.

Lexington KY is always #1 in my book! Whether you want to buy a downtown condo, a custom walkout ranch on a golf course, or a horse farm in the country, I can help find the perfect home for you – as well as help you sell your home. In addition to Lexington Real Estate, I specialize in the nearby towns of Paris, Midway, Georgetown, and Versailles.
