My Favorite Campgrounds Near Lexington KY

It may be the end of summer, but there's still time to get in some last-minute fun in the sun! And what better way to celebrate early September and the start of fall than with a fun filled weekend at one of Central Kentucky's best camping sites. I've been to several over the years, but I have to say my favorites are Lexington’s best at the Kentucky Horse Park Campground! Another goodie is Cummins Ferry Campground in Salvisa, KY near Danville and Harrodsburg, KY. And these 2 are close to my heart - Whittleton Campground and Middle Fork campground in Slade, KY right in the heart of Natural Bridge and the Red River Gorge National Geologic Area. Where's your go-to spot?
