Lexington Kentucky Homes Always Leave a Sign of History!

In my job I view numerous homes on a weekly basis. Sometimes it is fun to see what you may stumble upon during your journey. It is fun spotting items that you have never ever seen before or you spot an item or artifact that you have not seen since your childhood. You never know what you may find - hopefully you and your buyer will find a great home and then maybe you will spot some fun pieces of history along the way!

Here are a couple of artifacts I recently discovered on my house hunting excursions. Can you identify them?

(A Pencil Sharpener....bet that was cool at one time!)

(Did you guess an old transistor radio? These were built into the home, pretty fancy at one time!)

The home was built in 1869 and the door knocker as shown above was a wedding gift given by the father (the builder of the home) to his son and his bride as a gift. Pretty nice!)

Did you find something pretty interesting in your home or your Grandma's home? Send us a picture. We would love to post it!

Lexington KY is always #1 in my book! Whether you want to buy a downtown condo, a custom walkout ranch on a golf course, or a horse farm in the country, I can help find the perfect home for you – as well as help you sell your home. In addition to Lexington Real Estate, I specialize in the nearby towns of Paris, Midway, Georgetown, and Versailles.
