How to Beat the Winter Blues in Lexington Ky!
Don’t let the winter weather keep you housebound. Get out and enjoy all that Lexington Ky has to offer! Here are just some of the social clubs and organizations you can join:
The Lexington Sports and Social Club is the largest in the Sport and Social Company franchise. With over 1000 active members, the club organizes team sports with a wide variety of offerings, many of them indoors. Members can choose from volleyball, bowling, cornhole, kickball, Frisbee, basketball, tennis, bowling, and more. Social offerings include speed dating, laser tag, and happy hours. If you have seen someone wearing a tee shirt with an illustration of a horse with a mug of beer, then you have probably run into a member of this fun bunch!
The Lexington Young Professional Association (LYPA) is another vibrant group in town. Several hundred people between the age of 21 and 40 belong to this service-based organization. The mission of this group is to improve the quality of life and groom the next generation of leaders.
There are also singles groups, business organizations for women, entrepreneur clubs, and coffee meetups, all offering Lexington residents plenty of choice whether socializing or networking.
If you’re looking for even more snow this winter, check out the Lexington Ski and Sports Club. In addition to planning ski trips out West and in Europe, they hold racing events in the Ohio Valley area, and have at least one local social event each month.
