Homes For Sale Near Downtown Lexington

Moving to Lexington is becoming a popular choice these days. Lexington is consistently top-rated as Best Places to Live and Best Places to Retire. We have a perfect blend of city and country life with our thriving downtown surrounded by gorgeous horse farms.

A great way to experience Lexington is to take a walk downtown. The Triangle Park ice skating rink just opened and Victorian Square is a pretty little shopping area. You’ll find our downtown bright, clean and friendly with numerous shops and boutiques as well as casual and fine dining. Lexington’s vibrant nightlife features live music, concerts, gallery hops, opera, ballet, plays, movies and more.

While exploring downtown, step aboard our new dinner train! The Lexington Dinner Train has lunch and dinner service Thursday through Sundays this time of year. The train can accommodate about 40 passengers and serves a fancy three-course meal as part of the roundtrip excursion to Versailles. During the two-hour round trip route, the train passes McConnell Springs, Calumet and other horse farms as well as the Keeneland Racetrack.  Passengers board the train near the Distillery District, which is not far from Rupp Arena.

Residents who live downtown find it convenient to many big employers such as Transylvania University, the University of Kentucky, three hospitals, and the business and financial district.

If you are considering moving to downtown Lexington, you could live in a historic home, bungalow, or a high-rise condo. Homes for sale in and around downtown range from $200,000 to $2 million.
