Holiday Events in the Lexington KY Area, Southern Lights, Santa Claus Train, Ward Hall & More
Enjoy the Season in Lexington Ky!
If you are celebrating the holidays in Lexington Ky, be sure to get in the spirit by taking part in some of the many festive options happening in and around town. (If you still have shopping to do, check out my recent post on some unique boutiques and shops downtown.) Here are some ongoing or upcoming seasonal events:
Ice Skating
There’s fun for the whole family at the downtown ice rink, which is open daily through January 11 at Triangle Park. Even if you don’t skate, stop by to watch the ups and downs of the scene.
Pile friends and family in the car one evening to see the amazing holiday light show at the Kentucky Horse Park. The four mile driving tour is going on through the end of the year.
This weekend take a short drive to Versailles for an 11 mile train ride through horse farms and across the Kentucky River. Santa will make an appearance on Saturday and Sunday.
Candlelight Tour
Also this weekend, take a Christmas candlelight tour of Ward Hall, a historic mansion just up the road in Georgetown.
And be sure to take a drive out to the country one sunny day soon. Travel 20 minutes in any direction from downtown to find yourself in a rural setting with horses and rolling hills. The peaceful scenery may do wonders for lifting your spirits, or just remind you how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful part of the country. And, of course, if you want to own some of our area’s gorgeousness – you know who to call!
Lexington Ky is always #1 in my book! Whether you want to buy a downtown condo, a custom walkout ranch on a golf course, or a horse farm in the country, I can help find the perfect home for you – as well as help you sell your home. In addition to Lexington Real Estate, I specialize in the nearby towns of Paris, Midway, Georgetown, and Versailles.
