Fun Summer Events in Lexington KY!
Now that summer is here, be sure to get out and enjoy all that Lexington Ky has to offer! Here is just a sampling of upcoming events:
Enjoy the evening weather while being entertained by the Kentucky Conservatory Theater. This outdoor series will be held at the MoonDance Amphitheater and features productions of Monty Python’s “Spamalot,” and Shakespeare’s “Comedy of Errors.” Summerfest starts July 9 and continues every weekend into August.
Lexington Lions Club Bluegrass Fair
It just wouldn’t be summer without a classic fair and carnival. The Bluegrass Fair has been a town favorite for over 50 years, and also raises money for a good cause. Enjoy rides, games, a petting zoo, entertainment, and your favorite fair food July 9–19.
Bring your family and friends to watch free movies on a giant screen in the heart of downtown at Triangle Park. The films begin about 8:45 each Friday night through August. Grease, Zoolander, and Beetlejuice are just some of the movies in the lineup.
Free music at a Vineyard
Enjoy the scenery while listening to live music every Sunday this summer through mid October at Equus Run Vinery. On select Sundays, head over to Talon Winery for some jazz.
Get wowed by some of the most expensive collector cars in the country July 16–18 at this annual car show which also features a cocktail party and a bourbon tour.
