Experience Thursday Night Live in Lexington Ky

Now is the time to get out and enjoy all that Lexington has to offer. Every Thursday night now through October there is live music at Cheapside Park located at 251 West Main Street. Many attendees are local business people enjoying happy hour after their day at the office. This family-friendly event is a great way to reconnect with old friends and neighbors as well as meet new people. Dogs on leash are welcome, too. Local talent on the lineup includes The Swells, Superfecta, Prime Cut, and Born Cross Eyed. Currently the bands play from 4:30 to 9:00; starting in September they finish at 7:30. This free weekly event is sponsored by the Downtown Lexington Corp and Central Bank.

You’ll be able to pick up some snacks and drinks for sale adjacent to the performance area. When you are ready for dinner, Cheapside is within walking distance of popular restaurants including Dudley’s, Table Three Ten, Shakespeare and Company, and Parlay Social. If you want to grab a quick bite to go while enjoying the music, pick up a slice or two of Goodfella’s Pizza.

After you’ve enjoyed some music and good food, take time to walk around downtown. You’ll quickly realize how walkable our city is with plenty of banks, boutiques, and a market all within easy reach.
