Downtown Lexington KY is the Place to Shop for the Holidays!

Feel good about shopping in downtown Lexington Ky! Skip the mad rush and the crazy scene at the malls by shopping at The Square, a newly revitalized retail area, as well as the surrounding boutiques and gift shops.

Formally Victorian Square, The Square is a shopping center made up of sixteen historic commercial buildings that were later connected via indoor walkways. It is now home to an Urban Outfitters, a fast-fashion store popular with teens and college students. The 3,000-square-foot franchise anchors The Square at the corner of Main and Broadway. There is also an Alumni Hall, which sells college-themed apparel and gifts, and a jewelry store. Shoppers will find several art galleries for one-of-a-kind gifts on the upper floor of the complex.

Also check out the Shops at Lexington Center, which are across Triangle Park from The Square. Gift buying options include Kentucky Chocolates, women’s and children’s apparel, a toy store, fine jewelry, and an upscale china store.

Stop in Savane Silver across Broadway from The Square. Customers can buy handcrafted rings, earrings, necklaces and more.

Save time to browse at LV Harkness, a high end home décor and gift shop located on Short Street behind The Square. They offer all you need for your holiday party, as well as purses, jewelry, and many equestrian-themed gifts.

Take a break from retail fever at one of the cafés and restaurants in the vicinity. Try Saul Good or Shakespeare & Company, each occupying one corner of Short and Broadway, the Sweet Spot dessert shop on Broadway, or the new Pies and Pints in The Square. Happy shopping!
