Costco Opens in Lexington KY On Site of Madden Family Farm!
Welcome Costco to Lexington, KY! This morning Lexington's first Costco store opened their doors to the public on the site of the storied John E. Madden Hamburg Place Farm. Located at the corner of Man O' War and Polo Club Boulevard, this location will attract tons of business from the bustling Hamburg shopping and residential area and of course Interstates 75 and 64
.
This morning I ventured over to see what the barging busting hype was all about. And I ran into an old friend. I saw my first grade teacher Ms. Bethel!
Seeing her was wonderful and we chatted about life and my first grade year when our beloved Mary Todd Elementary here in Lexington was under renovation and how we started the beginning of the school year with classes held in portal trailers until our classroom was finished. So much fun seeing her. And for Costco, tons of great items. I especially love the temperature controlled room for fresh produce. Oh, and the snack bar! Ha! I'm sure you will find something you love there. Going to be a great place to shop for the holidays!
