Check Out the St Jude Dream Home Giveaway in Lexington KY

It sure has been a trying time for many with the outbreak of the coronavirus and changes to our daily lives. So what could possibly make this year better? Well good health and returning to a more normal daily life would sure help so many. But the reality is, so many don't have the health that allows them to live more of a normal life. In fact, their normal could be days of staying in hospitals getting treatment, it could be days of staying with a loved one while they go through extensive medical care. One of the largest fundraisers to help cover the costs of medical treatments for some of the nation's youngest patients is the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. St Jude has once again chosen Lexington KY for a dream home giveaway site. This is a great way to give back and help those whose normal lives could greatly be helped by you.

So while you are sitting at home this week, hop on your computer and visit the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway website. All across the county, the wonderful team at St. Jude has partnered with local builders in numerous cities who donate their time, energy, expertise and resources to work hand in hand with St. Jude to build a wonderful new home for a lucky winner. The proceeds from ticket sales goes to the St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Tickets are $100.00 each and the Lexington, KY Dream Home Giveaway is set for Thursday August 13, 2020. This is a bit later in the year than the drawings from the last 5 years. As you can assure, building materials, supplies and resources are taking a little longer to acquire due to the ongoing coronavirus. But don't fear, the home will undergo the final stages of construction this summer and be ready soon. Tours of the home have been postponed until further notice.This year's home is being built by Drew Brester and his company DB Homes. They have been the Lexington Dream Home builder for at least the last 6 years. For 2020, Drew is building at 3580 Stolen Horse Trace Lexington, KY 40509 in the popular Home Place Neighborhood in Hamburg. The Home Place neighborhood is located off Man O' War and Polo Club Blvd. That intersection is right across the street from Costco and the Kentucky Bank and new Starbucks. Once you turn on Polo Club, drive for about 1.2 miles and you will see Stolen Horse on the left side.

I will post pictures of the home once tours start but quick facts on the Dream Home are: it's a 2,400 finished square feet home with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a 2 car attached garage. Other features include a spacious great room with valued ceiling and kitchen which opens to  the great room. The kitchen features stainless appliances and offers a true gourmet feel. The master suite is decked out in full and is highlighted by a roomy luxury bath. The exterior will boast a nice covered front porch, room for a couple of rocking chairs, several windows on the front elevation so plenty of good natural light and a generous landscaping package.
