Check out the new Sage Rabbit Restaurant in Chevy Chase Neighborhood
A new restaurant recently opened on South Ashland Avenue, in the heart of one of Lexington’s most popular shopping and dining districts. Sage Rabbit in the Chevy Chase neighborhood is owned by well-known chef John Foster and his wife Nancy Everts. They ran the popular Harvest restaurant about ten years ago, now closed. John is also currently the head of Sullivan University’s culinary program.
The menu at Sage Rabbit emphasizes local ingredients in accordance with the season and may change rapidly. The lunch menu features sandwiches, salads and handmade pastas. The dinner entrees include beef, pork, chicken, and salmon.
Chevy Chase is a popular neighborhood just outside of downtown. Residents can walk to shopping including a Kroger market, a Rite Aid drugstore, a hardware store, and an independent bookseller. There are many boutiques and other retail options as well as restaurants and nightlife. Nearby parks include Woodland and Ecton, as well as the grounds of the Henry Clay estate.
