Two years ago a popular pizza chain announced they were coming to town. Next month the Pie Five at Fayette Mall in Lexington Ky will finally open.

Pie Five is a rapidly growing fast-casual restaurant chain based in Texas. Customers get an individual pizza made for them with their choice of crust, toppings, and sauce. Their order is ready in five minutes or less. Diners choose from thin, deep dish, or even gluten free crusts. The sauce selection includes spicy marinara, ranch, alfredo, and barbeque. All the classic toppings are on the menu along with less common ones such as marinated artichoke hearts, red and green peppers, caramelized onions, and roasted tomatoes.

Fayette Mall is the largest in the state of Kentucky and is anchored by Macy’s, Dillard’s,  JC Penney’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Fayette is in the center of the fast-growing retail corridor of Nicholasville Road south of New Circle Road. The Mall at Lexington Green is immediately north and the large shopping plaza called the Summit at Fritz Farm is soon to be constructed to the south.
